Konecny Konecny, Barbara Braun ??Barrie,?? 68 of Mt. Dora, Florida, passed away on May 24, 2011. Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Barrie was raised in Cleveland Ohio and graduated from Rocky River High School in 1961. After earning degrees from Virginia Intermont College and Nova Southeastern University Barrie served as an elementary school teacher for 28 years, mostly with the Miami-Dade County Public Schools. Following a year-long battle with Pancreatic Cancer Barrie died peacefully in Mt. Dora under Hospice care surrounded by her loving family. Barrie lived most of her adult life in south Florida with her husband Ronald Konecny who predeceased her in 2004. Barrie is survived by her two loving children: Kevin and Kelli (husband Patrick) Eaton, grandchildren: Kyleigh, Ryan and Kamryn and brother: Terry (wife Gail) Braun. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Barrie??s memory to Phi Beta Psi, an organization that fights cancer in Florida. To make a donation contact PBSCancer@gmail.com.
