With the threat of expulsion from our website and other unnamed cruel and unusual punishments for not updating my profile in over six months, I am forced to comply by updating all that has happened over the last half year. Sadly, all that I can think of is that I'm now six months older, the knees are weaker, the right shoulder is degenerating, and my toes are bearing the brunt of type-2 diabetes. Other than that, I'm having the time of my life!

I should add that we just wound up a week's family reunion on Kure Beach which involved 33 members of 3 generations of Millers. That I survived the onslaught is testimony to either my resiliency...or pure luck.

As previously mentioned, Julie and I remain in full retirement in Leland, NC west of Wilmington (just west of the Cape Fear River) and about 60 miles north of Myrtle Beach). We continue living in a modest yet delightful townhouse within the community of Magnolia Greens Golf Plantation. Our county of Brunswick is---whether it be good or not---the fastest growing county in North Carolina and one of the fastest growing in the States.

Remember those "sock hops" on Friday nights? I was so cheap I would take a couple of chairs from the cafeteria pretending to be part of the organizers, saving me the ten cents admission fee. There: confessions really are good for the soul and my conscience is---finally---clear.
