Karen Ranney - Class Of 1961 VIEW PROFILE

Karen Ranney

Dear Classmates,

We have received word from Kecia McGann that Karen Ranney passed away 9/10/17.  Kecia sent a short message about Karen and her life after RRHS:

Karen graduated from Ohio State and followed her parents and older sister to Southern California. She worked as a computer programmer and after retiring decided to work with students and became a classroom teacher. She was an avid runner and enjoyed reading and spending time with her son.

Kecia also included this note about a ring which she wishes to return to its owner.  If anyone has an idea as to how we can possibly locate the family of the person who owned this ring, please let us know.  I will then put you in touch with Kecia.

"I found your site because I was going through a box of my Grandma’s belongings (Eileen Christensen 1929) and came across a Rocky River High School ring. It is from 1929 and has the initials EMK or possibly EMY engraved on the inside. It is sized for a man. My Grandma never mentioned it. I have her ring with her initials, so she didn’t trade rings with someone. Anyway,  I’m trying to figure out what to do with the ring and would be happy to mail it to the person’s family if I could figure it out."

Sincerely,

Betsy (Grenfell) Poling
