I remember Sandy as quiet and friendly. We  are sorry to hear of her passing and she will be missed by many classmates.

It's unfortunate that we were so selective about our relationships, when we were in school.  Your individual appearance and associating with the "right" classmates was made to be so important in our world.  That's one of the attractions of these reunions, because you can interact and exchange memories with others without concern of how someone else may perceive it.  I'm ashamed to say, that with only a little over 200 graduates in our class, I didn't know Sandra Wiegand.  Now, when I reflect back, I'm sorry that I had not taken the time to really get to know many other people better too.  Sandra effected many, even though she was not given long in her life.  It was my loss for not taking advantage of the opportunities she offered.  My father always said that "it's a shame that youth is wasted on the young".  The older I get, the more I understand what he meant.
