Ed Lewarchick - Class Of 1961

Ed Lewarchick

One of our sons found this website and he sent it to me. What nice comments. Yes, Ed passed away 08/26/1997 from a form of cancer. We had 8 children 5 boys and 3 girls, and as of last week, 14 grandchildren and one great grandchild. He was always talking about his high school days and his glory days of football. Our youngest son T.J. had his first son on 04/28/2010 and named him Edward. We are very pleased. I still keep in touch with Pat Mahoney and Fr. Ned Weist, old neighborhood buddies. Hello to all Ed's old classmates!!!

Thanks for the nice comments

Ed was the first person in our class to get his driver's license. What a thrill it was to go some place, any place, and one of your friends was driving and not your mom or dad.

Eddie drove the "great white whale." I drove a 56 stick 6 Chevy. He always wanted to race me. I never would because I was chicken - and I knew he would always beat me. A friend at the lake that still lives in River told me about him dying a few years ago. I was sorry then and am still sorry now. I really liked him.

I liked him too!  He was very kind to me, and very funny!!!  I had heard this a few years ago, and was greatly saddened by the news.  I believe he had many children, that he loved them dearly.  meri

I remember driving home behind the high school on Westway, before I-90 was there, and seeing Ed in his driveway, car up on blocks, and half the parts spread all over the driveway of his house.  It's too bad that kids don't take that kind of interest in their cars anymore and even a bigger shame that Ed isn't around to talk about it.

I knew Eddy when he went to St. Chris, when some of us were going to RR Jr. High. He was a great guy, and will be missed.
