Jim Napier and I attended a memorial service for Bill that was conducted by his younger brother, also a graduate of RRHS. He told us how Bill's time in River made a lasting impression on him and caused him to settle there in later life. We all know of Bill's track exploits in high school and apparently he demonstrated the same dedication while serving in the Army, for which he received extensive recognition, including the Bronze Star. Bill will be missed.
